Drew Barrymore

…..bruh..

Why is it so hard to accept the party is over?
You came with your new friends
And her mom jeans and her new Vans
And she’s perfect and I hate it, oh so glad you made it
I’m so glad you could come by
Somebody get the tacos, somebody spark the blunt
Let’s start the Narcos off at episode one
Bring the gin, got the juice
Bring the sin, got that too
Whoa, just shut up, know you’re my favorite
Am I…

Warm enough for ya outside baby, yeah
(Tell me that it’s warm enough here for ya)
Is it warm enough for ya inside me, me, me, me
Warm enough for ya outside baby, yeah
(Tell me that it’s warm enough here for ya)
Warm enough outside, inside me, me, me, me

I get so lonely, I forget what I’m worth
We get so lonely, we pretend that this works
I’m so ashamed of myself think I need therapy-y-y-y
I’m sorry I’m not more attractive
I’m sorry I’m not more ladylike
I’m sorry I don’t shave my legs at night
I’m sorry I’m not your baby mama
I’m sorry you got karma comin’ to you
Collect and soak in it right

Warm enough for ya outside baby, yeah
(Tell me that it’s warm enough here for ya)
Is it warm enough for ya inside me, me, me, me?
Warm enough for ya outside baby, yeah
(Tell me that it’s warm enough here for ya)
Warm enough outside, inside me, me, me, me

Sorry, I just need to see you
I’m sorry I’m so clingy I don’t mean to be a lot
Do you really wanna love me down like you say you do?
Give it to me like you say you do?
Cause it’s hard enough you got to treat me like this
Lonely enough to let you treat me like this
Do you really love me
Or just wanna love me down, down, down, down?

Warm enough for ya outside baby, yeah
(Tell me that it’s warm enough here for ya)
Is it warm enough for ya inside me, me, me, me?
Warm enough for ya outside baby, yeah
(Tell me that it’s warm enough here for ya)
Warm enough outside, inside me, me, me, me

Warm enough outside, inside
Warm enough outside, inside me-me-me-me, me-me-me
Ohh-whoa, is it warm enough outside, inside?

Dear Houston…

Dear Houston,

From a New Orleans native that was displace to Dallas because of Katrina, I am sorry. I am so sorry that you are having to endure something that I would not wish on my worst enemy. I pray for your healing. That this does not disrupt the positivity in your spirit and that you always know you have the world on your side. The K-List is doing a clothes and funds drive for those impacted by #HurricaneHarvey . To those who are facing round two of tragedy. Those who fought through Katrina…this , just like last time, is not the end. Just the beginning to something greater.  All inquiries can be sent to klistkommander@hotmail.com .

“And if you come from under that water then there’s fresh air
Just breathe baby God’s got a blessing to spare
Yes I know the process is so much stress
But it’s the progress that feels the best” – Lil Wayne

I Apologize…..

Sometimes, you just have to say sorry.

Operator, get my baby on the line
‘Cause jus the other night we had a horrible fight.
I admit that I, I was out of control,
But I still love my man with my body and soul.
When the road gets rough, we say things we should not say.
But I never meant to treat my baby that way.

I apologize (believe me I do) Oh believe me I do.
I apologize (honest and true) Oh honest and true.
Because I know I was wrong
And so I sing you this song.
And I’m tryna get through to make it up to you yeah.

Operator, it was like a bad dream.
Lord you should have heard the way he shouted
And the way that I screamed.
I regret it ’cause I was unfair.
I took it all out on him just because he was there.
When the road gets rough, we say things we should not say.
I never meant to treat my daddy that way.

I apologize (believe me I do) Oh believe me I do.
I apologize (honest and true) Oh honest and true.
Because I know I was wrong
And so I sing you this song.
And I’m tryna get through to make it up to you yeah.

I apologize, for I was unkind and I wish
That I could go back in time.
Erase the good-byes and rewrite my lines.
But, come rain or come shine,
I’m gonna do right this time.
I apologize.

I apologize, oh baby, I do.
Because I know I was wrong
So I sing you my, my, my song.
I apologize

I apologize
Because I know I was wrong
So I sing you this song
And I wanna get, gotta get,
Need to through to you, yeah.

Oh listen, oh baby
I’m talking to you right now
I’m talking to you
Oh yeah, I was wrong, baby
Now listen to me right now
Singing it to you right now…

VanJess

Been a fan of VanJess since their early YouTube Mashups. These women have all the talent and I am so glad to see them still going after their music career. The video below is “Touch The Floor” , which was released on July 6, 2017Screen Shot 2017-08-18 at 12.24.44 PM.png. I am loving the song because of its classic 90’s sound which is a great nod to their start out. The video follows suit with black girl realness, all the ladies are serving looks, and all while sporting the dopest “Janet Jackson” box braids. The song itself is quite funky. Very easy on the ears and has a catchy and simplistic groove that you can’t help but give into. Not going to lie, at 2:33 the song gets very live and i totally appreciate the build-up. I am surprised they did not play with their vocals more on this track just because they both have pretty solid ranges. Maybe some of their notable runs will be on the next banger! Excited to see what these ladies do next!

Kill Miami

You ever hear a song that you wish could go on forever because the vibe is just so dope it is almost a shame to have to listen to something else? This song, “Teardrops” by Kill Miami, IAMDDB, and Mugun, is that for me. There is something in the UK water that has all of their musicians be out of this world talented! Kill Miami is on that list of crazy good UK musicians. Anything with IAMDDB on the track, you already know it is going to be fire. Her edginess compliments any track she is on and with a sound as distinctive as hers, you’ll never have to question if it will be worth the listen.

Screen Shot 2017-08-08 at 7.14.37 PM.png The beat is simple but lit enough to make you want to get hype especially from 1:06 – 1:29 before the transition to Mugun’s verse. Kill Miami is an amazing producer. I got caught up in the other projects that are available on Sound Cloud and YouTube and proceeded to have a #Lituation. Especially with “Dark Days”. Check out Kill Miami’s collaboration with Mugun and IAMDDB below. Also check out the fire set from Kill Miami from Radar Radio that is also linked below!

@Fr3shMarino

Fr3sh Marino recently dropped a Timmy Turner Freestyle on Sound Cloud. His sound in unquestionably Houston, dope inScreen Shot 2017-08-08 at 6.46.16 PM.pngstrumental with a gutter rap flow. Lyrically,  his freestyle could have been stronger , after listening to his others, but it does have its clever moments. Fr3sh Marino’s “Timmy Turner Freestyle” is a great listen overall and the follow up on Sound Cloud is his “Nasty Freestyle” which is fire! Can’t wait to hear what he does next.  Check out both through the link below.
